Happy Birthday to Sara Says! Win a $20 gift card to Target!

My blog turns one in August! Although I am not one to get sentimental about the turning of age of inanimate objects, I do want to recognize my blog’s birthday. I have loved writing it and it has served its purpose as a springboard in capturing ideas, thoughts, and happenings.

I enjoy expressing myself and ideas in this way and want to thank my readers for all of the inspiring comments and times you have said, "its just like I am sitting across the table from you and having a conversation." That is more of a compliment then you would think.

In honor of the big birthday, Sara Says would like to do a giveaway: a twenty dollar gift card to one of my favorite stores; Target!

Just leave a comment below about something you have done this year to save money with your family. A winner will randomly be picked on -August 1st (the official Birthday). The winner will be posted on this site. Thanks for reading.

Happy Birthday to your bloggy Sara!! My birthday is Aug. 4th--this would be a great prezzie!! :) I love Target! Something I've done this year to save money with my family has been to help one another clipping the coupons and looking for sales to match the coupons!! purposedrivenlife4you at gmail dot com

Happy blog birthday! I have done so many things to save money this year. One thing is to clip coupons and match those with advertised sales. I also enter giveaways once in a while for free stuff. I've won a bottle of dish soap so far.

Happy bloggy birthday!
This year to save money, we are eating out much less often. If we do eat out, we go for lunch instead of a more expensive dinner. We use buy 1 get 1 free meal coupons, and we order tap water instead of an expensive beverage.

Happy Birthday to Sara Says! This year, I subscribed to the Sunday paper (didn't get a newspaper because I read all my news online) just for the coupons. And I have gotten a lot better about using coupons. I even search the internet for coupons before I go shopping now.

This year I have started using coupons, entered contests to win free stuff, and I've just really started to pay attention to what I spend money on. Those things all together I think have helped my family out a lot. Of course winning this giveaway would help us out too! Target is my favorite place to get clothes for my kids!

Happy Birthday!! The best thing I've done this year to save money was to start couponing. I scoffed at my sister-in-law who seemed obsessed with it but I started this month and just this month alone I have saved 250% on my grocery shopping.

Happy Birthday! Something I do is I use all the grocery ads in the area for the week and then go to Walmart since they price match. I easily save at least $10-15 a week on stuff I normally buy.

This year, my husband put up a clothesline for me to hang my clothes outside and it's really helped to save on our electric bill. My kids like to help hang things up to, so it's been a nice family project. Great giveaway! Thanks!

Happy 1st birthday, Sara Says!

To save money this year, I have recently started visiting Rite-Aid. I've done the CVS deals for a long time but there is only one Rite-Aid in my town and it isn't very convenient for me. I decided to make the trek out there one time and was amazed at the deals I got!

I started learning how to "do" CVS...I've saved so much and picked up so many things that we need! Also, we've been clearing out the garage of old four wheeler parts and have made quite a bit that way. We had a yard sale, too. Thanks for the giveaway, and happy bloggy bday!

I never throw any packaging materials away. Boxes, padded envelopes, bubble wrap (if I don't pop it all) even gift bags, wrapping and ribbon. It makes for a little chaos in my storage closet but I just hate to buy these things when I can reuse what I have. Thanks for the great giveaway and happy blog birthday!

My fiance and I have both been using Swagbucks as our main search engine. We then exchange the swagbucks we receive for Amazon gift cards. The gift cards will be used to purchase items for our new home.

Happy blog birthday, Sara! I've really enjoyed reading it and hope you have many more blog birthdays to come!! The thing that has saved our family the most money is being very deliberate in my grocery shopping. I scan the ads every week and stock up on the things that we eat. For example, when 93% lean hamburger goes on sale for $1.99, I buy several pounds to freeze so it will last until the next time it's on sale. This way, I never pay more than sale price for many of the things we eat. Then, I clip coupons to get an even better deal. Then, when I actually go to the store, I take only cash. The embarrassment of being up at the checkout and finding out I spent more than I have is the best motivator ever to stick to my list!
