Cold Stone Creamery will be holding their annual World’s Largest Ice Cream Social on September 30, 2010 from 5 to 8 p.m. Each person will receive a free 3-oz. cup of Kate’s Creation ice cream.

IHOP: Kids Eat Free Nightly with Adult Entree Purchase

I've never ever been to an IHOP, but do love pancakes. Maybe now we will try.

Through September 13, 2009, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., you can get a free Kid's Meal with each Adult Entree purchase at IHOP. Valid for children 12 and under. More details here.

Free Denny's Breakfast on February 3, 2009

Need a reason to go out for breakfast? From 6 AM-2 PM, Denny's is giving out free Grand Slam Breakfasts. Why? I have no idea, but everyone should start their day with breakfast anyway so why not at Denny's?

Tuesday is my teaching day and I am thinking this could be fun for Daddy and the kids before he runs them off to school and the babysitter's...I am sure it won't be much persuasion ...sausage....bacon....

Editor Update: Ok...maybe it will take some persuasion after all to drive to Davenport. After a quick restaurant locator there are evidently no Denny's in the area. I thought every city had one?!

Free Frosty's at Wendy's

I love finding out something new and I am so excited about this!!! Probably because it has to do with one of my favorite foods: Ice Cream! Right now Wendy's has these Halloween Coupon books for Free Jr. Frosty's! The coupon books are $1 and you get 5 free frosty coupons. I think the plan is for people to buy them and pass out at Halloween, but I think I will just use them for fun little outings, rewards and surprises for the kids (soccer goals, a job well done at school, helping out at home, because Mommy wants one...)!

Last night I just buzzed through the Wendy's drive thru and got 2 coupon books. It was so easy and can't wait to use them with the kids. Thanks to my friend, Wendy, for this idea. I always find out something new and different when I chat with her. :-)

More Kids Eat Free!

At Fuddruckers kids can now eat free on Tuesday nights, but what I was REALLY excited about was that my absolute favorite lunch place; Camille’s Sidewalk Café, has kids eat free EVERY night. I love their Bangkok Thai Wrap but really everything I have has had there has been wonderful. The kids meal selection of grilled cheese, PB&J, and a couple of wraps is also in good portions. I love how the food is fresh and healthy. If only they had something fried or grilled for my husband, we would be there a lot more in the evenings. Hmmm…when does he work late again? ;-)

Kids Eat Free

I love a good deal and when it wraps around one of my favorite things (food!), then I am even more all for it! A fun thing my family and I have been trying this summer is eating dinner out at various restaurants on kids eat free nights. We don’t go out to eat as a family of five very often, but am more inclined when I know there will be other families there with young children. My kids are pretty behaved most of the time, but I don’t have to worry so much about my one year old and his sometimes unruly behavior in a high chair (picture sippy cups flying, food falling, and happy screeches). Other parents there have been there and no one is judging! I think its good to give kids restaurant experiences and the following places have been wonderful and very accomodating!

Some of our favorite Kids Eat Free places:

Saturdays: Zmariks -American Noodle Cafe
Kids eat free on a Saturday?! Normally unheard of for the restaurant biz! This noodle café is a great place to go after the late morning soccer games. Their macaroni is actually really something special. (Add broccoli to it if you are feeling guilty about this no veggie or fruit meal). Their teriyaki bowl is a favorite of mine!

Sundays: Legends American Grill
This place is close to home and can be a little too convenient after a busy weekend. The kids love the chicken fingers, I'm all about the Cobb Salad, and my husband, a cold beer!

Tuesdays: Hy-Vee
The kids meals are actually .99, but they offer a variety of options and I can’t resist their Chinese Express. They usually have a clown entertaining and it is the perfect excuse because I always need to go to the grocery store anyway right?!

Wednesdays: Shane’s Rib Shack:
This place is not only one of my husband’s favorite places, but the kids love it too. They usually have a magician wandering from table to table, doing card tricks and making balloon animals. They like the mac n cheese and cheeseburgers the best (not even trying BBQ! I can attest to the fact that it is pretty darn good)!
